Questions

What Helm is, how shipping works, what to expect.

What is a research compound?

A research compound is a chemical substance manufactured for scientific study rather than human or animal consumption. Research compounds are not medicines, prescription drugs, or dietary supplements. They are not FDA-approved. Helm sells compounds intended for in vitro research, academic investigation, and controlled private-research programs.

All buyers must be 18 or older. You agree to handle, store, and dispose of Products in accordance with standard laboratory practices.

Is it legal to purchase Helm products?

The sale and purchase of research compounds for non-consumption research purposes is legal in the United States. However, Helm Products are not approved for human use and are sold exclusively for research purposes only.

It is your responsibility to comply with any additional federal, state, or local regulations that apply to your jurisdiction, your research context, or your institutional affiliation.

How do you verify purity?

Every batch is tested by Janoshik Analytical, an independent third-party lab, using:

  • HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) for purity quantification
  • LC-MS/MS (liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry) for identity confirmation

Test results are published as Certificates of Analysis (COAs) linked from each product page. The batch number printed on your product bottle corresponds to the COA — there is no guesswork.

What's the difference between Semax and Selank?

Semax is a heptapeptide derived from the ACTH(4–10) sequence, developed in Russian research programs beginning in the 1980s. It has been studied in neuroscience research contexts including cognition-related investigations.

Selank is a synthetic analog of the naturally-occurring peptide tuftsin, also developed in Russian research. It has been studied in anxiety-related neuroscience research contexts.

Both are nasal spray formulations. Detailed compound information and COAs are on each product page. We do not provide guidance on specific research applications.

How do you ship? Is packaging discreet?

Orders ship via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground in plain, unbranded outer packaging. No product names, Helm logos, or COA markings appear on the shipping label, box, or exterior. Most domestic orders arrive within 2–5 business days once shipped.

Full details on our Shipping Policy.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) via a third-party payment processor
  • Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin and others supported by BTCPay Server)

We do not accept PayPal, Stripe, or Square, because those processors prohibit peptide merchants.

What is your return policy?

All sales are final, with three exceptions: damaged shipments, wrong items shipped, and packages lost in transit. Because research compounds cannot be resold after leaving our facility, we cannot accept returns of opened or unopened product for any other reason.

Full details on our Returns Policy.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time. Helm currently ships to the United States only — all 50 states, plus APO/FPO addresses. International shipping may be added in the future.

Are Helm products FDA-approved?

No. Helm products are not FDA-approved, not prescription medications, and not dietary supplements. They are research compounds, sold strictly for research purposes. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. This statement has not been evaluated by the FDA.

How should I store the product?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Nasal spray formulations are best kept refrigerated once opened to preserve compound stability. Follow any batch-specific storage guidance printed on the product label or referenced in the COA.

What happens if a lab test fails?

If an independent re-test of a batch ever fails to confirm the purity or identity reported on the original COA, Helm issues full refunds to all customers who purchased from that batch and pulls the batch from sale. This has not occurred in Helm's operating history.

Because our COA data is public and batch numbers are traceable, any discrepancy can be independently verified. We do not suppress or alter test results.

Why should I trust your COAs?

Because the lab issuing them — Janoshik Analytical — is not owned by or affiliated with Helm. Janoshik publishes its testing methodology publicly and is used by multiple research organizations. COAs include batch number, testing date, method (HPLC, LC-MS/MS), and purity result.

If you want to verify a specific COA independently, you can contact Janoshik Analytical with the batch number from your product label.

What's your privacy stance?

Helm operates all analytics and experimentation on our own servers. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, PostHog, or any third-party analytics service. Your data does not leave our infrastructure unless strictly necessary to fulfill your order (payment processor, shipping carrier).

Full details in our Privacy Policy.

How do I contact you?

Through our contact form. We respond within 2 business days, Monday through Friday.
